Mindful Motion classes are designed for older movers, with attention to engaging in enjoyable, holistic movement that supports balance, strength and mobility.
Patterns of gentle, flowing motion, in circles, arcs and spirals, articulate the spine, and the integration of breath and clear intention contribute to deepening experience and benefits of the practice. Classes include seated practice, and some standing work. Carol’s Mindful Motion classes encourage both understanding and awareness, and movement is adaptable and appropriate for participants of all backgrounds and abilities.
Please dress for comfort in motion, bring some layers and your water bottle. Socks or bare feet are appropriate, or soft shoes such as running shoes.

Carol is a Beach resident, movement educator and dance artist who has delighted in sharing and teaching motion in community, educational and professional settings for more than fifty years, and is now devoted to working with older movers.
Cancellation Policy
Classes are non-refundable and you cannot reschedule or transfer to another class. Our facilitators customize, purchase and prepare the materials for each participant in advance.
If you would like to send someone else in your place, that’s absolutely okay, however we will need for you to provide their name, phone number and email address 24 hours before the class scheduled time either by email or phone. We are unable to transfer a credit after the class date has passed.

Beaches Sandbox offers a wide variety of high-quality programming. Our goal is for everyone to be able to participate in these programs, regardless of their financial status. The Beaches Sandbox Financial Assistance Program is put in place to allow those who otherwise could not afford to participate, access to all programs offered at the centre.
