What We Do
As a registered charity, we create accessible experiences that bring people together, fostering meaningful connections through creativity, well-being, and fun. Our vision is a happier, more connected community for all.

How Do We Do It?
High Quality & Fun Programming
-
We offer an average of 5-6 hours of daily programming for all ages, abilities and backgrounds, creating regular opportunities for fun and connection.
-
Did you know? According to the Canadian Alliance for Social Connection and Health (CASCH), 1-3 hours of social interaction daily is optimal for well-being. Our activities make it easy for everyone to connect, ensuring they can access the positive health benefits of daily social interactions.
-
Our programming is designed to benefit the mental, emotional and physical health of participants. We offer a diverse range of activities from fitness, to cooking, arts, music, social and more.

Accessibility & Inclusivity
We are a welcoming and inclusive space, bringing people together from different walks of life, abilities, ages, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.
-
We are committed to accessibility and are proud to operate in an accessible facility equipped with an elevator, braille signage, automatic doors, and other accessibility features.
-
We offer financial assistance for all our programs, camps, workshops and events ensuring that anyone who might not otherwise afford to participate can still take part.
-
Through partnerships with community groups, cultural events, heritage celebrations, and more we strive to represent our diverse community in the programming we offer—providing opportunities for individuals and communities to share their experiences and culture, and to learn from each other.
“I came to Toronto from Istanbul, Turkey to live with my son in the Beaches area. I met amazing people here [at Beaches Sandbox]… all kinds of ages, nationalities and beliefs. I think being together under Sandbox roof will be great and very special for all of us. Thank you all!" – Rozelin
