What is cGaming?

Dolphin Gaming proudly supports and partners with over 100 local charities, playing a pivotal role in contributing to the betterment of our community. Beaches Sandbox is awarded shifts at the Dolphin Gaming every month, creating a unique opportunity for individuals to volunteer and support this worthwhile cause, generating funds for Beaches Sandbox.

By dedicating your time to volunteering, you play a significant role in ensuring that Beaches Sandbox can continue providing high quality programs that create opportunities for fun and connecting, combat social isolation and loneliness in our community.

Purpose:

• Every volunteer shift requires 2 volunteers, and each shift is 2hrs15min.

• Each shift generates approx. $3,000 for the charity, providing significant revenue for our community programs, workshops and events.

• Beaches Sandbox is approved as a charity to benefit from cGaming at Dolphin Gaming.

Description of duties:

·       Welcome and thank guests

·       Help them find the front desk/restrooms

·       Throw out any garbage – particularly old bingo cards from the tables, tuck chairs in

·       Tell people about Beaches Sandbox!

Requirements:

• Age Requirement

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old for all volunteers.

  • Verification of age through official identification may be required.

• Complete a brief 30-minute cGaming Volunteer Online Training session before their first shift.

• In-person Orientation (shadowing of a shift with another trained volunteer) at Dolphin Gaming.

• Being punctual and on time is essential, as any lateness may result in a missed opportunity for Beaches Sandbox to receive donations. Volunteers are required to sign-in upon arrival at the gaming centre.

• Volunteers are expected to adhere to the professional dress code: Beaches Sandbox branded polo shirts must be worn with a name tag and conservative dark pants or skirt, no hats, closed-toe shoes only (we will provide the shirt and name tag).

• Electronic devices, eating, or any activities that may distract from your role are not permitted while on duty.

• Note that you cannot volunteer for cGaming on behalf of for more than 3 charities

Time Commitment: 2-4hrs per month
